Gallery Training for New Gallery Artists

CONGRATULATIONS NEW GALLERY ARTISTS!

Come to the gallery on Sunday December 7 at 9:30 AM to see how the gallery works as a cooperative operation run by you and the other gallery member artists. 

The session will provide to you the basics of conducting sales and greeting the public as a representative of DAC.  Gallery visitors are your clients and income from art sales enables DAC to offer art education, scholarships for young artists and community services.  Showing your work in our gallery requires members to host one six-hour day a month.  

Please come if you possibly can.  Lead gallery members will also support you with on-the-job reminders on your particular gallery day.

Members arrange for their own back-ups when they have unexpected events that affect your gallery day schedule.  Contact another gallery member and trade  with another or make arrangements to back up each other over the long run when needed.  Hosting schedules are posted on our website in the Members Only Section.  Members who do not do their share of the 6 hour monthly commitment are subject to a fine of $40 unless special accommodations are made for disability or other very extraordinary situations. 

It takes a village, just like they say.  Together we have a dynamic organization of artist support and a vibrant place to exhibit and sell your work.
