This workshop will focus on the more abstract using regular acrylic paints as well as liquid paints, ink flow, whatever you might have. A water spray bottle is a must! We will be using high gloss heavy acrylic medium for texture as well as anything you want to bring for texture....gauze, cheese cloth, tissue paper, an old magazine to tear for collage, etc. Purchase an acrylic medium for a "glue" to secure the texture papers. We will focus on a shape that is familiar to you, figurative, or architectural, or still life piece of fruit, or a simple landscape. All basic keys to a good painting apply. Let's have some fun delving deep to explore a little abstract expressionism!

Supply list:
Acrylic paints that you usually bring
Spray bottle for water
Cheap canvas boards
Regular stretched canvas
Good watercolor paper with a layer of gesso 140 lb.....if you don't want to use canvas board.
Acrylic medium
Heavy acrylic medium high gloss...two people could share a jar
Any ink flow paints if you have them
4ml plastic to cover your table
Photos or iPad with photos for reference shapes
Magazine for collage images
Paper choices for texture...gauze, cheese cloth, netting, etc.

No fear....lots of fun and exploration!
