Frank Eber was raised in Europe and was mentored by Italian master painter Renato Casaro. His love of travel has given him prime opportunities to paint. He lived for three years in the south of France, and has painted on location in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. He has also painted in California and other parts of the United States. Frank is a Signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, and Watercolor West. He was recently accepted as an Artist member by the prestigious California Art Club.
 

“I paint what I see. And I see from an emotional angle. So what I paint is a "version" of what I see: I am more interested in capturing the underlying energy of what's before me, than I am in painting an accurate picture of it.”

“When I come upon a scene I desire to paint, I ask myself ‘What makes this place?’ and ‘How does it feel to be here?’
By working on location (en plein air) this way, I remain a student of Nature and her laws.”
