The goal of this workshop is to make you a much better artist, if you are just a beginner or an experienced painter.
The workshop will go over using oils, acrylics or watercolors.
This comprehensive workshop will cover aspects of traditional portrait painting plus interpretive painting. Will be painting from a live model and go into getting a likeness, lighting and shading. We will discuss values, color temperatures and edges. Learn how to mix paint and how to apply it to a surface.
The day will start off with a little drawing. Learning how to draw in a very easy way and develop your drawing into a finished painted portrait.
Learn how to go from a very tight style to a looser more expressive look. Learning how to make mistakes and learning from them. This is a path to becoming a more creative artist.

There will be demonstrations for both the drawing session and painting session, showing you each step of the way to a better portrait.
