Scholarship Fund: Since 1965 the Desert Art Center has been awarding scholarships to graduating seniors from local high schools who plan to pursue an art or design related degree at a college or university of heir choice. Since 1979 (per DAC reccords) over 120 students have received close to $50,000 in scholarships.
Middle School Art Program (MSAP): In 2012 the Middle School Art Program was implemented to provide art classes for middle school children (6th, 7th and 8th graders) from the Palm Springs Unified School District. Over 80 students per year have attended classes in drawing, water color, printmaking and clay that they do not receive in their schools due to funding cuts.
Education Fund: In 2014 the DAC began giving grants totaling over $2000 per year to Palm Spring Unified School District art teachers for supplies, transportation or other items that are not funded by the school district.
Long Term Planning Fund (General Support Fund): In planing for the future of the Desert Art Center this fund was established in 2017 to set aside funding for the expansion of the DAC's facilities and programs.
